TIGERSHIRT by BEAUNIE

Some days ago I finally finished my long-lasting project! It took me over a year to knit this Tee and only to work the tiger was great fun, the rest was…let’s say horrible! The thread was too thin (Nm 10) for my patience!

Maybe one day I will knit another Tee with another illusion, a little bit smaller than the tiger, because it is too difficult to see the whole tiger at the back of a person.

I didn’t use a special pattern. But I made the mistake to begin with the tiger without thinking of how to knit the Tee so I came into trouble with knitting and attaching the arms.

If I do it again and use the same yarn (-> rectangular arms) I would start with one arm (the whole count of stitches, means back AND front), then cast on the body stitches on each side of the arm and continue with the double body (the shoulder would be in the middle), then doing the neck shaping by dividing the garment in the middle and knitting and shaping only back or front of the body by increases and decreases and then reattach both pieces to knit the other shoulder and then the other arm.
